Agile development of software to support a business division
Description
Situation: Implement a software and processes to manage a business division in Africa & ME.
My responsibilities and actions: I started by identifying the key stakeholders and collected the
requirements and prioritized them based on value. I worked with the external programmers,
business and supporting functions to decompose the scope and create user stories. Further I
engaged with the future users in training. As the product backlog kept growing I controlled the
on-going spend making sure I ask for funds as needed. Once the main deliverables were
complete I moved the software into steady support with another 3rd party provider.
Outcome: The outcome was a massive improvement of ways of working, increase in control of
the processes for the whole team of over 50 people.
