Launch of a new product in a Middle Eastern Country
Description
Situation: Establish the company as a provider of high quality cucumber seeds in a Middle
Eastern country. This involved trailing different varieties of seeds from the pipeline, selecting the
best ones, promoting the products and generating first $1M sales.
My responsibilities and actions: I worked with in-country R&D team, marketing agencies and
customers to select the products. Once the most promising product was chosen I requested
ambitious production volumes and started the commercialization phase. During that time I
worked with the in-country team to execute the marketing plan and finalize the sales.
Outcome: Company established as a provider of high quality cucumber seeds with the sales
reaching $0.8M in the 2nd year.
